DetailsDay tour from Yerevan
Yerevan’s museums tell Armenia’s story from the kingdom of Urartu to the 20th century. We start at the museum of Sergei Parajanov, film director and artist, then go up to Tsitsernakaberd, the memorial to the victims of the Armenian Genocide, and visit its museum.
After a tour and tasting at the ARARAT brandy factory we visit the History Museum of Armenia on Republic Square and the Matenadaran — one of the world’s richest collections of ancient manuscripts — and finish at the Cascade with the sculptures of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts.
Most museums are closed on Mondays, and the Matenadaran on Sundays too; the Cafesjian galleries are open Friday to Sunday. We plan the order around your dates. Prefer half a day? Then we keep the Matenadaran, the History Museum and the Cascade.
