Winter tour from Yerevan

Jermuk in winter

The frozen Mermaid’s Hair waterfall in Jermuk

Overview

Jermuk is a spa town at about 2,080 metres, famous for its mineral water. In the drinking gallery it flows straight from the springs, warm even in winter. Nearby are the 70-metre waterfall known as the Mermaid’s Hair and a ropeway above the forest.

It is a long drive, so on the way we stop at Khor Virap with its view of Ararat and at Noravank. Don’t want to go there and back in one day? We make it a two-day trip with a night in Jermuk.
