Day tour from Yerevan

Etchmiadzin & Zvartnots

Etchmiadzin Cathedral and its belfry

Overview

Etchmiadzin is the spiritual centre of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Its cathedral, first built in the early 4th century, is considered one of the oldest cathedrals in the world.

On the way we stop at Zvartnots — the ruins of a round 7th-century cathedral with Ararat on the horizon — and at the church of St. Hripsime. All three are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
